Chris was the solo performer at our wedding and I have to say it was perfect. He is very professional, timely and his music was beautiful. Chris not only played for our reception but the ceremony as well, it was non traditional but the songs (he suggested) fit perfectly and made the ceremony beautiful. Chris learned new songs on short notice that we wanted played and played them flawlessly. He had a wide variety of great music as well as played the guitar and harmonica we couldn’t have asked for a better performance for our big day..
“I never thought our wedding reception would be so fun. Chris Cates & the Master Plan even had my grand parents out dancing!” — Tim & Caroline

We will definitely have Chris Cates perform again next year!” — Julie Spiro, Executive Director Jackson County Chamber & Tourism Authority
“We hired Chris Cates & the Master Plan to perform for our Grand Opening. They were a huge hit with their Carolina Songs and various others. The weather was blistering cold and snowing – but they still managed to draw a crowd and get them dancing in the open air. We were so thankful for them – announcing our prize winners, endorsing our product, and above all, being GREAT entertainers! We whole heartedly recommend them for your next event.” – Management Team @ Westmont Commons Apartment Homes

“In my 5 years of planning our annual thank you celebration for our referring physicians I’ve never seen a group of people so eager to hit the dance floor. This was our best event yet and I thank Chris Cates and his band for setting the mood. Many of our guests complimented us on the band and the music selection they played. I would certainly recommend them of any corporate event or wedding.” — Chasity Poteat-Lehn, Director of Patient and Physician Relations Surgical Solutions
“Chris Cates put on a hilarious show at our Fall Scramble and he took requests and was a big hit with our members” — Robert Sankey PGA Professional Four Winds Golf Club – Mundelien, Illinois
“Our business gave a party to our clients this fall which turned out to be a group of about 250 people. We asked Chris Cates and his band to play and provide the entertainment. Our guests included adults of all ages, as well as children from newborns to teenagers. We could not have had a more enjoyable time. Chris and his band played their own songs as well as great covers of music from the ’70’s to the present. They were very professional, very respectful, as well as showing us a fun time for all.” —- Dr Bill Cloud
Chris Cates was a great addition to our Furniture Festival Sale Event! Our shoppers and employees thoroughly enjoyed listening to his music and we look forward to inviting him back to perform again soon! — Karen Reamer, Marketing & Customer Service Manager, Hickory Furniture Mart
“Chris Cates and the Master Plan were great for our wedding reception. It was an outdoor wedding and it started raining right before the ceremony started. Everyone held their umbrella’s and we were married in the rain. I was afraid guests would start to leave the reception after they ate due to the rain so I sent my director to tell Chris and the band to go ahead and start playing some up beat music. They did a great job and I think that’s why people stuck around. The rain stopped just in time for our first dance and everyone danced the rest of the night. They did a great job playing and singing the songs we requested. You know you have a great band when a number of your guest “ask where did you find them” or ” how did you get this band.” — Jamie & Renee
