It’s Super Bowl Sunday, so of course I’m going to post my funny Super Bowl Song Video. It’s a tribute to all the random, terrible for you food, that has to be consumed during the big event. Thanks for watching!
Jordan did it again thanks to a bumpy missed put by DJ. That kid is a machine. Although this song isn’t about him, it’s a fitting post today. As far as the complainers about Chambers Bay are concerned, I say suck it up. I thought it was great. Adam Scott shot a 64 and Rory shot 66 yesterday, that means the scores were there to be had. Blame it on your game, not the course.

Good game last night. The Hawks pulled it out to win the Stanley Cup again. I like hockey but really only watch it a few times a year. Growing up in the South, hockey typically isn’t an option as a sport to play. But I can write a song about it and here it is!
I’ve made a lot of albums in my life but none of them compare in popularity to my two golf themed albums. I moved to Asheville in 2004 and quickly became addicted to golf the day I decided to max out my credit card to join the old Holiday Inn Sunspree golf course. My first round on the course I shot 94, in five months of playing there every day I shot a 64 there (it was a short par 68). That shows how much I was practicing and playing (some would say to the neglect of my music, business and relationships).
Anyway, one day we were playing that very course when my friend asked me “why don’t you make a golf album?”. I wrote down eight song titles during the round, wrote three songs in line at the DMV the next day and had a full album recorded and on it’s way to manufacturing by the end of the week.
Triple Bogey with 17 Holes to Play
“Triple Bogey with 17 Holes to Play” forever entered me into the golf world and I haven’t looked back since. From promoting the album, I joined a golf radio show (speakingofgolf.com) for two years, performed at the Carolina Golf Hall of Fame and at many country clubs around the US, met many of my golf idols and played a ridiculous amount of free golf. Pretty good for an album I wrote and recorded in five days!
I finally got around to making my follow-up to Triple Bogey a year ago. I had a lot of golf songs that I hadn’t released and ideas for new ones so I had to get them out into the fairways of life. This album is more acoustic than the rocking full band ‘Triple Bogey’ but the lyrics are much more dense.
There are some good story songs and of course a few kooky novelty songs as well.
Funny Golf Songs Vol. 1
And now I have new golf songs that need to be released like a golf ball in a fried egg lie, but alas, I’m working on a few other albums at the moment so sadly, it may be a while before they fade hook into the world we love. Stay tuned and hit ’em straight!
I decided to make a video and update my song called “Super Bowl Sunday”. It’s about eating and drinking anything you want on that special day each year and completing ignoring your household chores.
So when you’re eating wings dipped in chocolate pudding during the game tonight, be sure to think of this video.
They’re slowly getting to the beginning of football season and of course Brett Favre is in the news again. Surely he’s not coming back again, but you never know with him. I think he wants to die on the field and he just might get his wish if he plays this year. I seriously doubt he will though. This is a song I wrote about Brett when he was on the fence last year (and when he was sexting). Thanks for listening!
Ricky Rubio is officially in Minnesota today and now I hear they’re trying to trade Gasol for Kevin Love. That’s crazy but it makes great sense for both teams. Ricky would have a good friend to help him with the transistion and the Lakers would have the best rebounder in the league. This is my silly song I did for Pau Gasol last year.
It’s crunch time for the Lakers today. I hope they can pull it out, I’m not ready to see Phil retire. One thing I know, is Kobe will come to play. This is the song I wrote last year when they were about to win the finals when Kobe wouldn’t let them lose. It’s also one of my favorite songs I’ve done (even though it’s very silly).
Are you kidding me? This Masters is off the chain so far. I wrote this song thinking about the final montage of a major tournament’s broadcast. Actually, I think the second verse is some of my best word play of all my songs. ANy thing with Chi Chi Rodrigez in it is always good. Thanks for listening!
I’m going to post golf songs all day long! This is the one that started it all.
