Ricky Rubio is officially in Minnesota today and now I hear they’re trying to trade Gasol for Kevin Love. That’s crazy but it makes great sense for both teams. Ricky would have a good friend to help him with the transistion and the Lakers would have the best rebounder in the league. This is my silly song I did for Pau Gasol last year.

Kobe Time (song)
It’s crunch time for the Lakers today. I hope they can pull it out, I’m not ready to see Phil retire. One thing I know, is Kobe will come to play. This is the song I wrote last year when they were about to win the finals when Kobe wouldn’t let them lose. It’s also one of my favorite songs I’ve done (even though it’s very silly).

Vlade for Three!!!!
Do you remember when the Hornets were in Charlotte and when they were good. Mugsey, LJ, Dell Curry and of course Vlade Divac. Vlade was the man. This is my tribute song to him that opens my ‘Getaway Plans’ album.
This song features the amazing Andrej Kurti on violin absolutely tearing it up!
Thanks for listening!
Ricky Rubio Song
I saw an article from Spain where they talk about this song ( and even translate it ). I recorded it on November 14th for this blog last year and have gotten an outpouring of support from Spanish basketball fans. I’m a big Rubio fan, but I also like Gasol, Navarro and a few more up and coming players from there.
Whats’ really cool is that now that it’s gotten this much attention, maybe Ricky Rubio himself has listened to it. If so, holla at me Ricky. I’d love to come to a FC Barcelona game!!!!!
Oh Ricky Rubio
”Outside the Lines” on ESPN did a story on Ricky Rubio this morning. NBA fans have been waiting on him to come over to the States ever since he gave the USA team a run during the Olympics. I’m a fan. I don’t think he’ll ever play here unless Minnesota trades his rights. Minneapolis or Barcelona? Which would you pick? Thanks for listening!

Kobe Time. June 18th
I’m one of the few people around these parts that is a huge NBA Basketball fan. I’ve always been one since I was a little kid. The playoffs this year were off the hook as they always are. At first I was pulling for Lebron and then I felt like the Celtics deserved it more because they are such a great team (and Paul Pierce is the man).
Then when they got to the finals, low and behold, I found myself rooting for the Lakers. Kobe is the best, that’s what it comes down to. I know people love to hate him, but he also sells more jerseys than anybody. Last night at the end of the game, you knew he was gonna find a way (or Derek Fisher) to win. Ron Artest, probably the real reason I was pulling for the Lakers was the hero and the best post game interview.
Anyway, you guess it. That’s where this cheesy dime store hip hop came from. Thanks for listening (even to silly songs like this one).

March 26 “Road to the Final Four”
I guess it was inevitable with all of the March Madness on TV. Duke’s the only ACC team still in it. Around here most folks don’t care unless Carolina is in it. I, unfortunately feel the same way. I do pull for Duke because I’ve lived out of state long enough in the past to root for all North Carolina teams.
“Road to the Final Four” is about betting on the NCAA tournament bracket. Something I fortunately didn’t do.
