I just had to do another NBA song. Pau Gasol has been killing it this year. The Laker’s new strategy is to let him be the high scorer most nights. Kobe gets to rest up until crunch time while Pau gets serious consideration for MVP. He’s definitely the best forward in the league now and Spain may give the U.S. a run in the London Olympics. They’ve got Navarro and Ricky Rubio too. Thanks for listening!
Smack-talkers are real characters. There are two kinds: the one’s that can back it up and the one’s that can’t. I used to play a lot of basketball and that is one game the smack talkers are usually the good players. I was probably inspired by a recent interview I read with Ron Artest where he was relating some of the awful things Paul Pierce was saying to him during the playoffs. I’m usually not a smack talker but occasionally I’ll become a bit over exuberant in my competitive exultation.
A lovely Thursday with a million things to do. That’s how it always is when you’re out of town all of the time. I’m just biding my time until the Cavs/Celtics game tonight. Lebron has to win if he’s gonna stay in Cleveland. I hope he stays.
Today’s song started out about something much different but somehow it ended up on this ghost theme. Maybe it’s from article I recently read. I have no ghostly idea.
I can’t believe I haven’t done more songs with my Triton. My Triton is a KORG keyboard that you can basically create anything you want with. I’ve had mine for about eight years and the buttons are literally worn off.
I’m a big NBA basketball fan as you may have noticed and tonight Kobe and the Lakers are playing while I’m working on this song. Great basketball is like great jazz, so I added a little jazzy guitar to the electronic sounds.
I’ll admit it, I’m a huge Kobe and Gasol fan.. And don’t even mention Ron Artest, the modern-day Rodman, one of the greatest personalities of our day and age. Don’t worry I pull for Lebron too. I know as a human being that I’m obligated to do that. The Lakers in 7.
