June 23 “Me and You on the Floor”

Here I go again with the raps.   I may have created a monster..  I realize my flow is pretty 1992 (or ’87 for that matter).   But what are you gonna do, it’s pretty fun to do actually.   We all want to be a rapper at some time or another in life.  Rapping is very cool  because you focus  on the lyrics more than the melody.    That also frees you up to do rhythmic stuff with words and use them like a percussive instrument.

Or in my case, just to be silly.    Thanks for listening!

April 13th “Nothing is a Strong Foundation for Nothing”

I’m obviously still on my ‘Einstein’ kick.   He was definitely a remarkable man and an incredible violinist to boot.   To be able to mathematically map out the Universe is pretty sharp.     He was a nice guy with a very funny dry wit (when he wasn’t working).

Anyway, that’s probably where this song got it’s start.   I sat down in front of the computer after a big day recycling down the mountain and once again something popped out  (musically that is).   Thanks for listening!!

March 20 “As the Earth Spirals Around”

A rainy day in the studio recording and mixing Wicked Addiction.   We finished the tracking, I just need to put a final mix on it.

As for my songs, I managed to write this one right as my time for the night is winding down.  I’ve got a long week ahead and need to rest up tonight because it may be my only chance.

“As the Earth Spirals Around” was started from some of my old words that I’ve put into my ‘random lines’ section in my computer.   As I’ve mentioned, I was very prolific as a youth and can sometimes get some good stuff from my old writing.
