November 3rd “Make it Happen”

I haven’t written an instrumental in a while.   I think I might have gone a little overboard with this one.  It’s got a lot of changes.   I honestly thought I would have posted a lot more instrumentals during the course of this 365 songs project but this is probably only the seventh or eighth one in over 300 songs.  I really caught my groove about four months ago writing words and just haven’t looked back.   However, it is nice to have a break every once in a while.   Thanks for listening!

Song of the day May 15th “Super Super Super Fantastic”

Back to my fence building obsession for the weekend.  I’ve gotten 15% of my 700 foot endeavor done so far.  Only 85% to go!

As for my song a day for 2010, I’m fairing much better.  Can you believe I’m closing in on halfway already.   This is my 135th song, that’s probably as many as I wrote last decade.     Hopefully this one is worthy of it’s 135th song importance.   Actually, this one is mostly just a funky groove number (shocker).

Jan 22 “Dark Lit Violet Groove”

Well I kept the funk going last night and this morning with this one.   I really love this kind of deep trancy funk groove.

I also love playing way to notey stuff on the bass.  What can I say I’m a guitar player.

This song is basically a ‘club’ song pretty much.  No huge world issues solved here, but they probably could be if everyone would get down to a funky beat like this every once in a while.
