Home for the weekend to see my wife. Working 1200 miles away from home really makes you appreciate your relationships. That made me think of this song today. ‘Crazy or Crazy in Love’ was written and recorded during my song a day year in 2010 and has been a great live song for us ever since. Thanks for listening!
Let’s start the week off with a ‘Carolina Song’. This was my high school hit called “Falling Star” that got rewritten for my Carolina Songs album. Thanks for listening!
Friday is my fifth anniversary being married to my lovely wife Adair so I will continue posting some sweet love songs in celebration. It is amazing how fast time flies by and plays tricks on us. All the more reason for “our love to show the way”.
I played during and after a really nice wedding at Tybee Island this weekend and was reminded of this song. Weddings tend to remind me of my sentimental songs. I’ve actually played this one in a wedding and at a few new age church services. This is a very rough version because it was recorded on my song a day jaunt last year. Thanks for listening!
It seems like a Parakeet Nelson day today, so I’ll post another one from my ‘Risky Biscuits’ album. I hope you are having a great day!
It’s summer time and it reminds me of those times sitting on the dock (usually tresspassing) at Lake James and staring at the reflection of the moon on the lake. I actually wrote this song then, although it was called ‘Mississippi Moon’ for years until I came to my senses. And I wrote it in a dream almost entirely and woke up and wrote it all down. Seventeen years later it finally makes its debut on my ‘Carolina Songs’ album. Hear all of ‘Carolina Songs’ here.
This is a vid from me performing “She’s in Love Again”, a song I wrote for this blog, at Eddie’s Attic in June of this year.
This song was written in an exciting time in my life when I had just moved to Georgia (the first time). It’s always meant a lot to me because it represents how I was feeling at the time so much. It’s been a great show closer ever since! Thanks for listening!
Today’s song is one of my top five favorites from my 365 Songs for 2010 blog last year. Thanks for listening!
This is a singer songwriter number I did on June 22nd last year. I’ve been going back through and learning some of these and this one struck me with it’s interesting structure. I wrote so many songs last year that going back and listening to them is like hearing them for the first time.
