Boogie in the Mountains (song of the day)

I’m headed up to Mt. Mitchell Golf Course from Atlanta today to perform with the Master Plan for the “Golftoberfest” celebration.   Mt. Mitchell is a great mountain resort and golf course and Teo’s, the restaurant there is one of the best around.

What better song to post today than “Boogie in the Mountains”, my shag song about getting your dance on in the mountains instead of the beach.   Thanks for listening!

August 10th “Happy to Be Home Again”

We won.  North Carolina finally beat Tennessee in the Battle of the Smokies. Mt. Mitchell golf club was fabulous.  The course was perfect for a Ryder Cup style competition, the accommodations were excellent, the food was superb and the fellowship was a lot of fun. I played some golf songs Sunday night for everybody, then I actually participated in the Karaoke session last night, which I really have never done before. Now I’m finally home, first time in six days.  It feels nice.   That’s why I made this quick little instrumental to celebrate and to give myself a chance to rest before I hit the road again tomorrow.   Thanks for listening!

August 8th “Make Your Own Luck”

Well I’m back from vacation only to leave again for three days to represent on the North Carolina Media team as we take on Tennessee’s Media Team in the Battle of the Smokies golf tournament and media extravaganza.  It’s a three day Ryder Cup style competition with twelve men and women from each State sweating over putts.   This year it is hosted by Mt. Mitchell Golf Club, a course I’m definitely looking forward to playing for a few days.  Craig Distl put it all together and there will be some writers there that I respect more than just about anybody.   I’m sure I’ll have lots of new subjects to write about!
