Today’s title is fitting, I put in a big week of work but it’s over now. Now it’s time for a big weekend of work. Luckily it’s studio time, which is a little less strenuous as curbside recycling. Although it’s funny, my fingers actually hurt worse from using a mouse for 30 hours than from lifting 12,000 pounds in 30 hours. Actually, since I’ve been taking a lot of Fish Oil, I hardly have any pain any more. Maybe it’s mental. Of course it’s mental.
April is already almost gone. This year is going quick. I can honestly say I’ve utilized every second of every day this year. That’s one cool thing about doing this song a day thing, I really get the best out of every second whether it be working, writing, hanging with Adair, recording, driving etc.
At this point I am feeling pretty level and good, that’s quite an accomplishment. That’s kind of what “Fine Line Between Life and Dreams” is about.
Looking forward to my gig tonight. We’re not playing as much this year which is good and bad. It definitely makes it more intense when we finally get together. The NBA Playoffs, my favorite time of year is also starting today. I’m surprised I didn’t write a song about that.
Today’s song sprang from a conversation I had with a new author friend this morning. I haven’t done one of these spiritual type songs in a while. I guess I was due.
I’m gradually working on this site as I get a little more free time. Being able to listen to the songs here is much better. Anyway, it’s been nice to be at home, not traveling and being productive. I had a really good time writing and recording this one today.
This is one that just kind of flowed out. The punch line is “Love reigns supreme, It’s just that humans don’t believe it yet”
Thanks for listening!!
Well, it only took about two weeks after getting a new puppy to start writing songs about it. I’ve refrained so far because something else has always popped into my head thus far. That is until today. “Leave it to My Furry Friends” ponders the reason why Man is not Man’s best friend.

I’m obviously still on my ‘Einstein’ kick. He was definitely a remarkable man and an incredible violinist to boot. To be able to mathematically map out the Universe is pretty sharp. He was a nice guy with a very funny dry wit (when he wasn’t working).
Anyway, that’s probably where this song got it’s start. I sat down in front of the computer after a big day recycling down the mountain and once again something popped out (musically that is). Thanks for listening!!
I’ve been listening to Einstein’s biography driving up and down the mountain for the last few weeks. With all the relativity stuff I have to listen to the same cds over a few times to try to comprehend it. And not being a physicist, I still don’t comprehend it.
But I can write a song about it! Thanks for listening!
I started to go rent an aerator and buy fertilizer to get my yard going the right way this year. But I got some sage advice from a lawn guy who made me realize that that would mean much more mowing and maintenance. Don’t get me wrong, I actually love yard work and my back yard is a 16 hole chipping course complete with elevated greens, fairways and rough. I’m pleased to say that I do everything gas-free once again. No gas will be consumed in the mowing of my yard this year.
Anyway, I guess that’s where “Mow Mow Mow the Grass” came from. I actually wrote the catch phrase on the recycling route the other day while I was watching people mow yards all day.
Today is my brother Bryan’s birthday! We celebrated by recycling a few thousand pounds of curbside goodies.
My music flow is going a little better this week. I seem to be able to create exactly when I need to which is nice. I felt like it was a struggle a week or so ago. I think it has a lot to do with getting proper sleep.
Today’s song is just another random act of wordplay. Once again it just popped out when I sat down to write today. Thanks for listening!
Today started off a little shaky after staying up late watching Duke win it while mixing Metal songs for some friends of mine. But I made it through a hot day recycling. The first day I wore shorts. They’re already asking when I’m breaking out the work sandals. I said “Very soon”, “very soon”.
“The Simple Idea of Love” seemed to flow out of me tonight. I think this song might turn out to be pretty good. I might come back and add a keyboard when I get a chance.
