This song was inspired by an Albert Einstein biography I read. It’s a song about metaphysical and existential questions wrapped around a love song. “What if time doesn’t exist? That means potentially I could be reliving this. If that’s the case I’ll give you a kiss. We could be eternally in bliss.”
Friday is my fifth anniversary being married to my lovely wife Adair so I will continue posting some sweet love songs in celebration. It is amazing how fast time flies by and plays tricks on us. All the more reason for “our love to show the way”.
Today is my four year wedding anniversary to my lovely wife Adair. It’s hard to believe we tied the knot in Vegas so long ago. A lot has changed since then and I’m still excited about our future whatever it may be.
I’ve written tons of songs about our relationship as you can imagine but I figured for this blog, I had to do another one for today’s special occasion. Thanks for listening!
I can’t believe another month is gone this year. I’ve written a song every day for five months now and pretty much recorded them the same day. I never thought I couldn’t do it but I’ve also been amazed at my sheer will to do it. Honestly, most of the time I’m excited because it’s something new to listen to. I guess that’s my number one suggestion to young musicians. Be a fan of your own music, it makes things a little easier when things get tough.
I dug the bones of this song out of my unreleased archives and rewrote several parts of it. Including the guitar interludes and the verses. “What It Gonna Take” is kind of a rockin’ break up song. I wrote the first version of this song in Amsterdam in 2005. This song features Mike Lowdermilk on bass guitar and Dave Brockway on drums.
Once again the Einstein biography I’m listening to inspired another song. It’s 18 discs long, so I’ve been listening to it for quite a while. Einstein was a great man. Not only for science, he was indispensible in his pursuit of equality for all races and nations.
Anyway, as he argued with his colleagues, the hypothesis that time didn’t actually exist came up. I guess that’s what helped this song to pop out. Thanks for listening!
