August 7th “On Vacation”
You guessed it, I’m on vacation with my family this weekend. I’m doing a pretty good job so far of not wanting to be working. That’s usually my problem on vacation. I’m so used to working 16 hour days that it’s hard to stop. What can I say, I love to make music (the hard labor not so much so). Thanks for listening!
June 29 “Back to Reality”
I guess I’m still in aftershock from our short vacation. Or it could be the mass amount of work, driving, writing, everything but sleeping since then. C’est la vie. That’s how stuff gets done. And I’m getting it done for the most part. Although, I’ve not been in Asheville at all this week which means I’m having to catch up on the recording. I’ve actually been a head a day or two on the song writing. Just behind on the recording. But at least I’ve sorted about 6,000 pounds of recycling this week.
June 27th “Mind Vacation”
Day two of my two day vacation. It’s not so sweet knowing you’ve got to go home soon. But then again I have a lot of obligations, so it’s also bitter sweet (ie recording a song for everyday in 2010). Being creative, I tried to be totally in the moment, which was beach house vacation-style with my writing. If I’m not being topical to my situations I encounter occasionally, how will I ever look back on this year years from now and remember what I was doing.

May 25 “Ready for an Adventure”
I must be ready for a vacation. I’ve been thinking about it a lot lately. I am going to a few places this summer but they’re a ways off. Today’s song is about getting out of town and names a few of my favorite places to go, Chicago, Vegas and San Diego. I’ll be going to Chicago next month actually, to play golf and see Iron Maiden in concert. Hopefully I’ll go up and see Phish again in August at Alpine Valley. Now it seems that I’m dreaming up new vacations when I haven’t actually gone on any of the ones I have planned yet.
